Do SUNF tires run true to size?

Do SUNF tires run true to size?

A very common question we get, do our tires run true to size? The short answer is: Yes, when applying on the recommended rim size.

For example, let's take our A033 25x10-12 tire. The recommended rim size is 12x8.0. This allows the tire's sidewall to concave inward to meet the wheel. If you were to apply a 25x10-12 tire to a 12x10 rim, now you are forcing the sidewall outward and therefore reducing the overall diameter of the tire.

In general, you want to allow 1.5 - 2 inches difference in width between tire and wheel. Now that you understand how it works, you can estimate if there will be a diameter loss or gain depending on the wheel you are applying our tires to.
