SUNF Tires Announces the New Trail Titan A066 35x10-15

Developed Through Real-World Testing. Built to Conquer Every Trail.

SUNF Tires is proud to announce the release of the Trail Titan A066, a new 35x10-15 UTV tire engineered for riders who demand exceptional durability, dependable traction, and confidence across a wide range of off-road terrain.

Designed for today's high-performance Side-by-Sides, the Trail Titan A066 combines aggressive all-terrain capability with a rugged 10-ply rated construction and a carefully developed rubber compound that has been tested in both recreational riding and professional off-road racing environments.

Rather than relying solely on laboratory simulations, SUNF put the A066 through extensive real-world testing on two of the industry's most capable platforms:

  • Polaris RZR PRO R (Recreational Testing)
  • Can-Am Maverick R (Professional Race Testing)

The result is a tire built from actual trail experience, racing feedback, and thousands of data points collected in demanding off-road conditions.

Whether you're spending weekends on the trail, exploring remote backcountry routes, or pushing your machine in competitive environments, the Trail Titan A066 was built to deliver the durability and traction demanded by modern UTV owners.

Tested Across America

The Trail Titan A066 has been evaluated across a wide variety of terrain and operating conditions including:

  • Mountain trails
  • Rocky terrain
  • Hard-packed dirt
  • Desert environments
  • High-speed recreational riding
  • Professional off-road racing

This testing provided valuable feedback regarding tread wear, traction, ride quality, durability, and rubber compound performance under real-world temperatures.

Understanding Rubber Compound Performance

One of the most important characteristics of any off-road tire is how the rubber compound behaves as temperatures increase during operation.

To evaluate compound performance, SUNF measured tire surface temperatures and hardness using a Shore A Durometer, one of the most common tools used throughout the tire industry.

What Is a Shore A Reading?

A Shore A reading measures the hardness of rubber compounds.

Generally speaking:

  • Higher Shore A numbers = Harder rubber
  • Lower Shore A numbers = Softer, more compliant rubber

As a tire warms up during use, the compound becomes more flexible. This allows the tread blocks to better conform to terrain irregularities and maintain contact with the ground.

A lower Shore A reading at operating temperature can provide:

  • Increased grip
  • Improved traction
  • Better surface conformity
  • Enhanced ride quality
  • More predictable handling

The challenge is finding the right balance.

Rubber that is too hard may sacrifice traction. Rubber that is too soft may wear prematurely. The goal is to create a compound that delivers excellent grip while maintaining durability and long-term performance.

Professional Racing Evaluation

Vehicle:

Can-Am Maverick R Race Car

Initial Measurement

  • Tire Surface Temperature: 50°F
  • Shore A Reading: 58.5 HA

After Approximately 50 Miles of Racing

  • Average Tire Surface Temperature: 95°F
  • Shore A Reading: 44-46 HA

These results demonstrated that the compound becomes significantly more compliant as operating temperatures increase, helping maximize traction when the tire is pushed under race conditions.

Professional racing provides some of the most demanding environments a tire will ever encounter, making it an excellent proving ground for evaluating compound performance.

Long-Term Recreational Evaluation

Vehicle:

Polaris RZR PRO R

Test Duration

  • Approximately 500 miles
  • Over 5 months of recreational use

Recorded Measurement

  • Tire Surface Temperature: 95°F
  • Shore A Reading: 47 HA

What impressed us most was the consistency.

After hundreds of miles and months of use, the Trail Titan A066 maintained a Shore A reading remarkably close to the values observed during race testing.

This suggests the compound continues to perform consistently over time rather than becoming excessively hardened through normal use.

Built for Today's High-Performance UTVs

Modern UTVs continue to grow in horsepower, weight, suspension travel, and capability.

The Trail Titan A066 was developed specifically to meet those demands.

The combination of durable construction, optimized weight, and aggressive tread design helps deliver confident performance across a wide range of terrain.

Aggressive Traction Meets Long-Term Durability

The Trail Titan A066 features a versatile all-terrain tread pattern designed to perform across varying conditions.

Benefits include:

  • Excellent traction on dirt, gravel, and rocky terrain
  • Strong cornering stability
  • Predictable handling characteristics
  • Deep 16mm tread depth

From Weekend Trails to Race-Day Demands

One of the most exciting aspects of the Trail Titan A066's development was its exposure to both recreational riders and professional racing teams.

The same tire tested on a Polaris RZR PRO R for months of recreational riding was also evaluated under the demanding conditions of a Can-Am Maverick R race vehicle.

That combination of long-term recreational testing and high-intensity race testing helped shape the final product into a tire capable of handling a broad range of off-road applications.
